8am

The early service each Sunday is a Holy Communion using the Book of Common Prayer at 8am.

Sunday@11

The most family-oriented meeting each week is at 11am on a Sunday morning. It lasts for about an hour and a quarter, and it includes time for learning from God’s word together as the Bible is taught and as we sing to encourage one another and praise God. The meetings also include a short children’s slot, a time of prayer, and once a month we proclaim the Lord Jesus’ death in bread and wine in the Lord’s Supper. Following the more formal part of the meeting, there is opportunity to get to know each other and chat over tea or coffee.

The music at Sunday@11 consists of a mixture of some traditional hymns and some more modern Christian songs. All of the words are printed on service sheets that are given out at the start of the meeting, and large print versions are also available on request.

There are also activities for children during the Sunday@11 meetings, and on the first Sunday of each month this is an all-age Family occcasion for which the children stay in and join us. These include talks geared especially for them, and they are usually slightly shorter than the normal meetings.

6pm

The evening service each Sunday is at 6pm, using the Book of Common Prayer. On the second Sunday of each month this is a Holy Communion service, otherwise it is Evening Prayer.

Small Groups

As well as meeting all together as a church on Sundays, there are also opportunities to meet in a small group setting in various locations around Fowey through the week. These are a place to grow (through studying the Bible and praying together), a place to belong, and a place to serve.  If you are not currently part of a small group then do consider it, and get in touch for more details.

Joint Prayer Focus

On the second Tuesday of each month we hold a Joint Prayer Focus. This is an opportunity to pray together for the work of the parish and beyond, and is the most important meeting of the month, the power house and under girding of all we do.

Meetings take place in the Parish Hall, and last for about an hour, starting at 7.30pm. We pray either in small groups or all together, but there is no obligation to pray out loud if you are not comfortable doing so. The meeting is usually divided into several sections, focussing on different aspects of our witness as a church, such as our children’s work, or the work of the gospel beyond Fowey in the wider world.
